This 4-pack of Word Ladders offers children guided practice in word building. Laminated ladders show a series of colorful pictures on large, 3" by 16" cards. Each picture/word differs by only one or two letters from the one above it. Children build the first word with letter tiles, then add, delete, or change letters to make each subsequent word. As they descend the ladder, they record each word on a Recording Sheet. Ladders progress in difficulty, from simple CVC words with no vowel change, to more complex letter combinations (blends, digraphs, vowel pairs, etc.)
