Developed by Russian psychologist D.B. Elkonin, these sound boards help children understand how words are made up of individual sounds blended together. Students move sound tiles into the boxes on the boards as they articulate the sounds they hear in words. Or they use the boards to identify the position of a sound in a word. Then move on to writing letters for sounds in the boxes, using our write-on, wipe-off feature. Four sets of 4 boards, each 5 1/2" by 8", with 2, 3, 4, or 5 sound boxes.
